The Fashion Icon of 2002 may well be Sandra Bullock. Her style at the Academy Awards was perfect, just what I hoped all the celebrities would strive for - polished, poised, and absolutely glamorous. Sandra chose an elegant off the shoulder gown designed by Valentino. The sheer-topped black stunner, accented with black paillettes, "made her feel like a princess."
With several major films debuting this year, Sandra will undoubtedly be doing the press rounds. It'll be interesting to see what she wears since she has really come into her own and knows what styles work for her. As seen above, she's featured on the May 2002 cover of Marie Claire, on which she models the same stunning $12,585 Valentino gown worn by The Gilmore Girls' Lauren Graham to this year's Golden Globe Awards. The full length sheer dress featured a conservative plunging neckline and bronze and turquoise beads. Lauren accessorized with striking sunburst gold earrings by Tony Duquette.
Love, or Something Like It
Some say that love blossoms in the springtime, but in the movie business, love often blossoms on the set. Some romances are brief, lasting about as long as production schedules. Others have set the stage for lasting committments. Angelina Jolie has met boyfriends, lovers, and at least two husbands during movie shoots and Brad Pitt has had long term romances with at least half a dozen co-workers.
