Karen Wood
of Backstage Creations and Samantha Milo Haft of On
3 Productions, included a wide array of products ranging from
apparel and accessories to pro-social gifts and artwork. In
addition, each side of the gift trunk featured an exclusive Peter
Max-designed MTV logo, along with some
of Max's most famous icons.
Celebrity gift baskets are the producers' way of thanking presenters and performers for giving their time and talent to a major event. It's the stars that make the show entertaining and, frankly, they aren't picking up tons of cash when they come in from all four corners of the world for rehearsals and show time. So what better way to say thank you than with a few specially selected items?
Assembling the gift baskets is no small task, but Karen and Samantha use their unparalleled knowledge of the latest trends to place the hottest products into the hottest hands. This unstoppable pair will also join forces for the 2002 MTV Video Music Awards Latin America, heating up Miami next month.
The exquisite gift baskets were presented to the show's performers, including Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, Justin Timberlake, The Hives, Ja Rule, Sheryl Crow, Ashanti, Eminem, The Vines, Nas, Shakira and Sean "P. Diddy" Combs. Celebrity presenters also received the goodies, including Britney Spears, Heath Ledger, James Brown, Jennifer Lopez, Kelly Osbourne, Kirsten Dunst, Ludacris, Mike Myers, Nelly, Michael Jackson, P.O.D., Pink, Sammy Hagar, and VMAs host Jimmy Fallon.
