SAG Awards 2003 Talent Retreat Products

Away from the lights, photographers and television cameras scattered throughout the Shrine Auditorium at the Screen Actors Guild Awards, today's most popular stars were swept back in time as they crossed the entrance into the Celebrity Lounge and Talent Retreat, where Lois Esformes Interior Design created a salute to Hollywood glamour.

While celebs mingled,"Ginger Rogers" could be found at the long bar lining one wall of the retreat. A unique drink created by Maker's Mark especially for the Screen Actor's Guild Awards, the "Ginger Rogers" blends Maker's Mark bourbon, Jamaican ginger beer, lime juice, mango nectar, and fresh mango into a deliciously refreshing cocktail.

Happy feet came courtesy of Charles David, who provided elegant ladies shoes, including the "Dynamic" and "Roma." Angela Bassett selected classic black heels while Rachel Griffiths slipped into gold strappy sandals.

To sign all those autographs, Waterman provided their luxury pens. With it's classic style, Megan Mullally selected the Parker Sonnet. Ed Harris selected Waterman's "Carene,"which evokes expressions of the sea.

And finally, for those who needed to get away from it all once the awards season wrapped up, the Four Seasons Residence Clubs offered celebs a weekend stay, spa package and dinner at one of their beautiful properties. Grateful SAG award winner Edie Falco was among those ready to pack their bags.

In an area adjacent to the Lounge, the stars were invited to select gifts from plush product showcases. These included custom crafted diamond necklaces by Astrik Designs, stemware from Calvin Klein Home, elegant heels from Charles David, accommodations at a Four Seasons Residence Club, therapeutic gemstones from Gemisphere, leather goods from Kenneth Cole, fancy pet carriers from Petote, electronics from Sony Cierge, genuine Stetson headwear, and fine writing instruments from Waterman.

SAG president Melissa Gilbert was excited to see a pet carrier that was fashionably practical. She chose a tan suede Petote for her dog, Willy. Halle Berry was equally excited about the "porta-petties."

Edward Norton and Billy Crudup were seen bonding over the CD Walkmans, cell phones, and Clies offered by Sony Cierge, Sony's exclusive personal shopping service.

We heard that Maker's Mark is the preferred spirit among many top A-Listers. Ed Harris's father loves Maker's Mark and the retreat gave him a chance to special order a specially labeled bottle for his dad directly through a company representative. Guests of Dennis Haysbert or Sean Astin might expect to be served a "Ginger Rogers" in elegant cordial glassware from Calvin Klein Home. Carey Lowell and Richard Gere also selected the glasses.

As for style, the stars got outfitted in accessories from head to toe. Naturally, one of Clint Eastwood's favorite gifts was from Stetson. Allison Janney and Mary-Louise Parker playfully staged a "cat fight" over Stetson's Carson cowboy hat. The laughing ladies settled the score and both went home smiling.

Jewelry designer Astrik Jarajian dedicated her award-winning "Shining Star" pendant to September 11th. Julianne Moore selected the dazzling diamond "Shining Star" while Salma Hayek chose the elegant ruby version. Alternative gemstones were provided by Gemisphere. With their healing and restorative powers, Gemisphere's products are always popular with celebs. Salma selected a Mother of Pearl necklace and Julianne chose Lavender.

Kenneth Cole New York was on hand to help the stars pack up their gifts. The hot bag of the evening was Kenneth Cole's "Easily Per-suede-ed" convertible messenger bag. Everyone from Meryl Streep to Courtney B. Vance selected this tote.

The Hours director Stephen Daldry, 8 Mile director Curtis Hanson and actress Toni Collette celebrate with Ginger Rogers.
