VH1 Divas Gift Bags with Queen Latifah, Beyonce, Celine Dio and more
Backstage Creations, specialists in award show gifts and custom backstage Celebrity Retreats, coordinated the Mattel Celebrity Retreat at the 2005 Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards at UCLA's Pauley Pavilion.

Presenters, performers and award winners, including host Ben Stiller, Queen Latifah, Jamie Foxx, Paula Abdul, Justin Timberlake, Cameron Diaz, Will Smith, Jada Pinkett-Smith, Jimmy Fallon, Adam Brody, Halle Berry, Will Ferrell, Mia Hamm, Johnny Depp, Alyssa Milano, Chris Rock, Frankie Muniz, Raven Symone, Drake Bell, Miranda Cosgrove, Josh Peck, Jamie Lynn Spears, George Lopez, Amber Tamblyn, Jesse McCartney, Hayden Christiansen, Andrea Bowen, Master P and Romeo were invited to visit the Retreat before, during and after the taping of the awards.

Hollywood event planner extraordinaire Randy Fuhrman, CEO of Creative Concept, who has been called "the wiser brother of Martha Stewart," created the ambiance of the 18th Annual Kids Choice Awards Mattel Celebrity Gift Retreat. To contrast the KCA's Orange Carpet, Randy Fuhrman and his team of designers coordinated the retreat in shades of hot pink.  As celebrities entered the Retreat, they were welcomed to a hip and playful setting where they could lounge about on lush hot pink satin couches, gold embellished custom designed bean bags, or rest easy on the matching square ottomans. The retreat design was accented with hot pink lanterns hung throughout the room. The overall scene was a gorgeous living room hip enough for kids and grown ups alike, and one that was perfect for the fun-filled day!  Randy also shared his melt-in-your mouth, irrestible and unforgettable White Chocolate Raspberry, Cool Mint, and Just Plain Delicious gift box brownies. Available through BrowniePoints.org, Randy and his Brownie Points partner, Madelyn Alfano, direct 3% of purchases to charities benefitting children.

Additional catering was provided by Marble Slab Creamery, the originators of the "mix-ins" concept. Marble Slab also promised the celebrities a cool summer with quarts of complimentary homemade ice cream delivered to their door!

All the stars had a unique opportunity to meet with representatives from various companies to learn about the latest and greatest products on the market. Gift items selected for the Mattel Celebrity Retreat include:

Simple Plan squeezed into the AG Jeans booth. Repped by MTV's PoweR Girl Kelly Brady, AG Jeans' brand recognition has grown rapidly; they are now one of the most popular brands in the market. AG Adriano Goldschmied Jeans recently opened a new flagship store in L.A., located at 107 Robertson Blvd. For a preview of AG Jeans 2005 styles, worn by the Hottest Celebrities, check out CoutureCandy.com.

Hadley Pollett, creator of funky, eye-popping belts, handbags, and headbands inspired with color and versatility, brought along her Extra Large Canvas Beach Tote. The extra wide handles feature Hadley Pollett's signature zinna trim. On the web at www.hadleypollet.com.

A BC Talent Retreat favorite, Sanrio dialed in to the Kids Choice Awards with Hello Kitty Nokia Mobile phones, adored by Frankie Muniz and Andrea Bowen, who said she "loves Hello Kitty." Alyssa Milano revealed that she loves Hello Kitty because they are the same age. Justin Timberlake announced that his girlfriend, Cameron Diaz, a Hello Kitty fashionista, "will go bananas over this phone."

Digital Lifestyles Group displayed their hot, Hip-E Computer, the world's first all-in-one lifestyle computer and entertainment system designed for teens by teens. Celebs were inspired by the creativity and versatility of the Hip-e Node, and were happy to autograph it for a future auction to benefit a Nickelodeon designated charity. Justin Timberlake thought the blinged-out computer monitor and keyboard by Hip-E were "so sweet" while Frankie Muniz described the components as "killer."

The stars received Hip-E's PlayMe. More than an MP3 player, the PlayMe also works as a Digital Voice Recorder, an FM radio and a USB flash drive, with enough storage for songs, photos and (for teens) homework assignments. The PlayMe docks with the Hip-E Node as well as the Hip-E BeatBox to function as a mobile boombox. A limited number of Hip-E computers may be available at Circuit City stores. In addition, presenters also received three months of unlimited music downloads on eMusic.com, the world's No. 2 digital download service focused exclusively on music outside the commercial mainstream.

L. DeCarlo Designs provided handmade, one of a kind jewelry pieces by designer and owner, Lisa Decarlo.  Justin Timberlake loved her collections and chose turquoise hoop earring with feather accents for his mother from the American Heritage collection, stating "she will LOVE these!  They match the color of her eyes!" He also chose three pieces for sweetie Cameron Diaz, including a fabulous hand woven bracelet from the Tessuto Collection. When Lisa told him it was 'one of a kind'...he said "so is she!"  He also commented, "I love everything because it is so different...I have never seen anything like it!" Paula Abdul adored a piece from the Essare Collection, which featured a vintage 1930's stone in a luminous salmon pink with vintage angle skin coral. She even said she will wear it on American Idol. Alyssa Milano chose a piece from the vintage Swarovski Collection and said she would love her wardrobe people to have the collection for her television show, Charmed.

Mattel, title sponsor for the celebrity retreat, entertained celebrities with a variety of fun products, from games to the new Fashion Fever Barbie. Pierre Bouvier, Sebastien Lefebvre, Jeff Stinco, David Desrosiers, and Chuck Comeau, aka Simple Plan, rapper Master P and actor Jon Voight all had a blast playing against each other in a round of Rock'em Sock'em Robots.  Justin Timberlake and Nick Cannon both said that they had to have the game Puck Hedz and would start collecting the rolling pucks. Mia Hamm loved the game Scene It? Jr. and said she plays the original Scene It? often at home with friends.  Master P was impressed by Fashion Fever Barbie's style, saying Barbie "is looking really cool" and Justin Timberlake added "Barbie is Hot."  Usher even admitted "I am the biggest Barbie fan!"  Alyssa Milano said she is a huge Barbie Collector and was thrilled with the "Barbie Dumped Ken" T-shirt.  Jamie Lynn Spears loved the scent of the Barbie Fragrance.

Reebok made a positive impact with celebrities attending the KCA's! Reebok's diverse style spans from iconic fashion footwear to technology driven running shoes, including the highly acclaimed self-inflating Pump 2.0, the super comfortable Pump Opus, 50 Cent's G6II from the G Unit Collection, Jay-Z's S. Carter Collection, and the Nautical Mile. These styles, and more, were available at the Kids Choice Retreat for celebrities, including Lil Max $O, Master P, Raven, and Paula Abdul to try on and take for a test drive. Alyssa Milano, Amanda Bynes, Raven Symone, Andrea Bowen and Mia Hamm all selected Reebok's classic, sailing-inspired Nautical Mile, which are great for a day at the shore or an evening stroll down the boardwalk. Avid runner Amber Tamblyn picked up Reebok's Premiere Running Shoes, sure to give her a cushioned, comfortable run. Chris Rock walked away with G6 II's, Hayden Christiansen opted for style from Jay-Z's S. Carter Collection, while Jamie Lynn Spears and Jon Voight sought the awesome comfort delivered by the Pump Opus. Paula Abdul chose both the Pump Opus and Pump 2.0, two styles that should provide the stability she needs to maintain her recently received relief from chronic pain. Jamie Foxx treated himself to Pump 2.0's as well as 50 Cent's G6 II, and he thoughtfully selected the trendy Nautical Mile for 11 year old daughter Corrine. Frankie Muniz is such a big Reebok fan that he went home with Pump 2.0, G6 II's and the S. Carter!

Even Sears joined in the Kids Choice fun! Sears reps introduced the artists to Sony's most popular digital camera, Parallel's stylish and versatile cardigan sweater wrap and Ty Pennington's Style, the new bedding line available exclusively at Sears. Included in Ty's Style collection are the fun message pillows shown below.

Remember those sweet treats we told you about on the previous page? They were provided by the good folks at Wonka! Wonka provided celebrities with the Wonka Gold Card, for a complimentary one year supply of Wonka candy bars, SweeTARTS, Laffy Taffy and more. Justin Timberlake said Wonka is his favorite candy, while Simple Plan said they will keep their tour bus stocked with Wonka goodies. Alyssa Milano took a variety of Wonka's sweet treats to munch on during the show. Jesse McCartney loves Wonka Nerds and Miranda Cosgrove taste-tested and approved the brand new Wonka Donutz. Jon Voight said his nieces and Godchildren were going to love this surprise, and Jamie Foxx plans to use his Wonka Gold Card to donate his candy to charities. Wonka's newest Golden Ticket Game continued through May 31, 2005.

Other products in the Mattel Gift Retreat were provided by Le Vian Time, Marchon Eyewear, and Star Sisterz.
